There had been an older Tv series called Bat Masterson. It was about a western rich gambler who used his time aiding the less fortunate. He was ever present to save a damsel in distress from a bully, prevent a wicked land owner from scaring off a rancher and his loved ones, or breaking up a stagecoach robbery. He was really a true hero and his awesome identifying trait was really a beautifully designed cane having a silver metal crown.
